The International Workshop on Frontiers of Cyber-Physical Systems and Internet of Things (IWFCI 2017) will be held in Nanjing, China on June 5, 2017.
Cyber-physical systems (CPS) are physical and engineered systems whose operations are dependent on the tight coupling between physical processes, computing and communication. Recent years have witnessed the increasing convergence of Cyber-Physical Systems and Internet of Things (IoT) in many critical domains including buildings, transportation, health, energy, and environment. The prevalence of cyber-physical and IoT systems is transforming how we interact with the physical world as profoundly as the Internet transformed how we interact with one another. Harnessing the capabilities of such systems holds the possibility of enormous societal and economic impact.
This workshop is an interdisciplinary forum that brings together top experts from multiple fields to discuss challenges, technologies, and emerging directions in system design and implementation that pertain to the next-generation CPS and IoT. The topics that will be discussed at the workshop include, but no limited to:
● Data processing and knowledge discovery for CPS/IoT
● Drone platforms, algorithms, and applications
● Network and system architectures and protocols
● CPS/IoT platforms, architecture, and services
● Location, time, and other network services
● Operating systems and runtime environments
● Cloud, mobile, participatory, and social sensing
● Smart and connected health
● Smart cities and communities
● Security and privacy in CPS/IoT
